Charlotte Trudel-Sinoui
TO WERNER MAROCK, MY OLD FRIEND
My first photography exhibition is dedicated to Werner Marock, 'My Old Friend', who passed away last April. An artist with a great sensibility, he practiced writing, painting, photography, playing guitar and singing. In the streets of Vancouver, he took care of the homeless that he loved. He also was a courier and a truck driver.
BIOGRAPHY
At a young age, Charlotte was attracted to photography because her mother loved to take pictures. It is in college that she enjoyed learning about the art of photography. Her main mentors are Guy Genest who delicately interprets the manifestation of nature, and Adreas Feininger with whom Charlotte has often had the pleasure of discussing the art of photography of which he was a great master.
TEL QUEL
This collection of pictures is entitled “Tel quel” which literally means “As is”. The photographer plays with perspective which surprises the eye. With no special treatment of the image, her only tools are the smallest Leica 35mm and traditional film.
